Sorry I missed all of you in Spokane, The new engines showed up March 15th and we have been working around the clock to finish the installation.  Hope to be fishing by April 3rd.  Check out the above link for details.  ~ Ken

2-12-2010

I hope the winter and holidays treated you all well!

Salmon Season sounds interesting so far with one of the largest runs of Columbia River Kings on record predicted! (they are the ones we catch out of Westport!) We may get a late May- early June Kings only season and we are expecting a great all species season starting the end of June.  Stay tuned for details!

Halibut Fishing is booking up fast, hopefully there will be lots of BIG'UNs on the opener.  We will be able to keep all incidental Lingcod up to our limit while Halibut fishing this year!

Spring Lingcod fishing is some of the best in the last week of March and first three weeks of April, Our first day on the water this year will be March 23.  I will be at the Spokane Bighorn Show the Weekend before to say Hi to some of you.

The other big news for  this year is that I am Re powering the Tequila Too, Taking out the 280 Hp       6-71N Detroit's and installing a brand new pair of 405 Hp QSL9 Cummins.  The boat will be way quieter and a lot faster when we need it!  I have some pictures up on Facebook of the old motors being lifted out.  Search for Tequila Too Sportfishing.  I will try to post new pictures of the install as we go along.  I am also thinking of updating the fishing report more often on Facebook as I can do it from my mobile phone, let me know what you think!

~Ken

10-27-09

We finished the Season with limits of big Yellowtail Rockfish and 19 Lings with 2 over 20 Lbs! It was a fantastic year for Salmon and the early indicators are predicting another good Silver year and a large King run too!  As always we appreciate all of you that have ever fished with us!  We missed seeing some of you the last couple years, Have not forgot you though and hope you can join us in the future.  Thanks again to those friends that made this year so much fun!  Check back as I will try to update you with the prospects for 2010 as I here them.

6-18-09

Limits of Yellowtail Rockfish have been coming in as fast as you can catch them with nice sized fish.  Two at a time with no bait!  Yellowtails are a better grade of fish than Black Rockfish, although both are fantastic eating.  Lingcod fishing slowed down to about 1/2 a fish per rod on the average, they should bite again soon. We are leading the derby for the week with a 23 lb Lingcod.  The weather has been fantastic and the ocean flat! ~Ken

6-14-09

Limits of   Rockfish and about 3/4 of a lingcod per rod on the average lately.  Today and last Sunday we had a few incidental Halibut too!  Saturday a guy almost had his full 15 fish limit  with 10 Rockfish, three Cabazon and a Ling, one more Ling and he would have made it!  Salmon sign looks great and we have been catching both Kings and Silvers occasionally.  We are excited to go out for Yellowtail Rockfish Starting the 16th. ~Ken

Some bigger Halibut are showing up, We had a 65 Lb, 60Lb and 49 Lb fish In the last two trips, most are just good eaters though, 12-25 Lbs.  I am thinking this is just the start of the BigUn's like last year.  We have some Spots available the 24th and I think we will get the 31st in.  We had Big fish by the third week last year and it would be nice to see some familiar faces!  Check out more new BigUn photos   ~Ken

5-4-09

Limits of Halibut, good eaters and no big ones on the opener.  It was slow and people hate rotating when its like that.  I hate it worse than you do but with it being a derby fishery now its the only game in town so please have some patience.  I think The BigUn's will be in soon like last year.  ~Ken
