About TEQUILA TOO
|
The 55' "Tequila Too" is a Coast Guard inspected, Modern Twin Diesel Charter Vessel equipped to fish up to 28 people and is licensed to carry 40.
As of 2021, we'll only be booking 16 anglers on most trips, allowing us to provide indoor protection from the weather, when necessary, and extra room at the rail for fishing. The deck has no steps and there is plenty of fishing space and seating. The cabin features electric heat, a microwave, and four spacious tables with plenty of seating for 16. We also have separate heads (restrooms) for men/women. (The captain of Tequila Too reserves the right to bring 1 guest that will ride in the wheelhouse and share the captain's fishing rod throughout the day; unless the boat has been reserved by a private party.) |
You are also welcome to join the crew in the wheelhouse, which has the latest in electronic equipment: GPS, VHF, SSB, CBs, Radar, Sonar and Sounder.
The Tequila Too features over 120-ft of rail space to fight those "derby" fish.
On the way back to Westport, the deckhands will clean or fillet, and bag your fish, ready for you to take them home. Remember your Deckhands work for tips and fillet money. Be sure to thank and tip them for the day's long work they did for you when they hand you your fish.
The largest catch of the day receives our famous button, "I caught the Big 'Un on the Tequila Too." IF it's big enough, and IF you purchased a $5 derby ticket before we departed, we'll get you and your big 'un up to the derby booth for weigh-in and photo. The winnings are daily, then, moves to include weekly, and finally, season end winners - so you could win three times with one fish!

Join Ken and the crew of the Tequila Too
for your adventure on the ocean!
Tequila Too History: In 1982, Ken was running both the "Six Pac" and the "Aquila" his first year as a Skipper. Some old time Skippers had a hard time remembering the boat name "Aquila" and started calling it the "Tequila" on the radio, and the name stuck.
In 1982, Ken bought his first boat. It was the 42' 20-Passenger vessel named, "The Lady Arlene." He renamed it "Tequila."
13 years later, Ken was ready for a bigger boat. In 1995, he bought the 55' Challenger, out of Bodega Bay California. After an extensive six month rebuild, the new "Tequila Too" made its first trip. (Question: Do you know the whereabouts of the original "Tequila?" Hint: She's still in Westport and she's still on Float 6.)
