Welcome aboard the TEQUILA TOO |
|
Skipper/Owner Ken Culver has over 26 years experience Charter Fishing in Westport. He started Deckhanding in 1979 and got his Coast Guard Six Pac License in 1982, Running Both the "Six Pac" Bottomfishing and the "Aquila" Salmon Fishing his first year as a Skipper out of Deep Sea Charters. Some old time Skippers had a hard time remembering the boat name "Aquila" and started calling it the "Tequila" on the radio, and the name stuck. In 1983 he bought his first boat. It was the 42' 20 Passenger vessel named The Lady Arlene, and he renamed it the "Tequila." For the next 14 years he specialized in Rockfish and Lingcod fishing, running more Bottomfishing trips than any boat or skipper in Westport. In 1995 he bought the 55' Challenger from Bodega Bay California. After an extensive six month rebuild the current "Tequila Too" made its first trip in 1996. Since then Ken and the Tequila Too have been running Rockfish and Lingcod trips, Halibut trips, Salmon trips, 11 Hr Salmon/Rockfish Combo trips and an occasional Tuna Trip. Ken and the Crew are ready to take you or your fishing party on a fishing adventure you will enjoy and never forget. You will want to make reservations as soon as possible. Ken's boat is one of the first to fill up due to his high success. Please remember to Request the Tequila Too.
Fishing trips are generally limited to 24 passengers or less for a comfortable fishing experience. The Tequila Too features over 120ft of rail space to fight those "Derby" fish. With the Deckhands giving you 125% of their effort, all you have to do is get the fish to the boat and let them handle the rest. The Tequila Too is licensed for 42 Passengers for excursions and Whale Watching Trips. On the way back to Westport, the deckhands will clean or fillet, and bag your fish, ready for you to take them home. Remember your Deckhands work for tips and fillet money. Be sure to thank them for all the work they did for you when they hand you your fish. We hope you can join Ken and the crew of the Tequila Too for an adventure on the ocean soon!
